Job description

The Reel Creator produces short-form videos (Reels/Shorts/TikTok) that drive attention, engagement, and qualified leads for The Portal Agency and/or client accounts. This role owns the short-form pipeline end-to-end: ideation, scripting, shoot planning, filming (when needed), editing, subtitles, and publishing-ready exports. Success means strong hooks, clean pacing, platform-native style, consistent output, and measurable performance improvements. Key Responsibilities Ideation & Scripting Generate weekly short-form ideas aligned with ICP pains, objections, and offers (Egypt + KSA). Write scripts and shot lists with strong hooks (first 1-3 seconds) and clear CTAs. Turn long topics into short, scannable formats (15-45s) without losing clarity. Maintain a backlog of concepts and a repeatable framework library (myth vs truth, case study, FAQ, teardown, behind-the-scenes). Production (as needed) Plan and capture footage with mobile-first quality (framing, lighting, audio). Coordinate with team members for on-camera recordings when required (CEO/team). Source/organize B-roll, screen recordings, and brand assets. Editing, Captions & Packaging Edit reels with strong pacing: trims, jump cuts, beat matching, and attention resets. Add subtitles, on-screen text, callouts, and simple motion elements when needed. Ensure correct aspect ratios, safe areas, and platform export specs. Create variations: different hooks, CTA timing, thumbnails/cover frames for A/B tests. Collaboration & Workflow Work with designers/motion team for overlays, brand templates, and animations when required. Coordinate with Social Media Specialist for calendar alignment, posting schedule, and community feedback. Follow up internally to hit deadlines and maintain consistent publishing cadence. Document versions, approvals, and final exports per account. Performance & Iteration Track weekly performance: views, retention, 3-second hold, completion rate, saves/shares, clicks, DMs/inquiries. Analyze winners and create repeatable patterns; improve underperformers with specific tests. Maintain a short-form playbook by offer/audience with proven hooks and structures. Requirements 2+ years producing short-form video content (portfolio required). Strong editing skills (CapCut, Premiere Pro, or equivalent) and subtitle best practices. Strong sense of pacing, hook writing, and platform-native storytelling. Comfortable filming with smartphone and basic lighting/audio setup (when needed). Strong organization and consistency discipline (deadlines and output cadence). Arabic + English communication (business level).
