Job Title: Digital Factory OT - IT Solution Analyst (Consumer Products Industry)
Reports to: Global IT Lead - Manufacturing

Role Overview
The OT–IT Solution Analyst will support the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of integrated Operational Technology (OT) and Information Technology (IT) solutions across global manufacturing sites. This role bridges shop‑floor systems and enterprise applications, ensuring secure, reliable, and scalable connectivity between machines, data collection platforms, MES, ERP, and digital factory applications.
The ideal candidate brings strong manufacturing process knowledge, hands‑on experience with OT systems (SCADA, PLCs, data collection) and IT platforms (MES, DFOS, cloud, analytics), and the ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, operations, cybersecurity, and IT teams.
🎯 Key Responsibilities
Requirements & Process Analysis
- Gather, document, and validate business and technical requirements for OT–IT integrated solutions.
- Map current‑state and future‑state processes across production, quality, maintenance, and data flows.
- Translate operational needs into functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities in OT–IT workflows, connectivity, and data integrity.
Solution Design & Implementation Support
- Collaborate with OT engineers, IT architects, MES/ERP teams, and product owners to design integrated solutions.
- Participate in design workshops, configuration reviews, and technical discussions for OT–IT platforms.
- Support deployment of OT–IT solutions including device configuration, network setup, data mapping, and system validation.
- Assist in coordinating pilot deployments, global rollouts, and site onboarding activities.
Testing & Quality Assurance
- Develop test plans, test cases, and scripts for OT–IT applications and integrations.
- Execute functional, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Document defects, track resolution, and ensure solutions meet operational expectations before go‑live.
- Validate data flows from PLC/SCADA systems to MES, DFOS, ERP, or cloud analytics platforms.
Operations & BAU Support
- Provide Level‑2 functional support for OT–IT systems including SCADA, data collection platforms, MES interfaces, and edge devices.
- Support incident analysis, root‑cause investigation, and resolution coordination with OT/IT teams.
- Monitor system performance, data accuracy, and connectivity across OT–IT environments.
- Maintain documentation, process flows, and knowledge bases for OT–IT systems.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with manufacturing, engineering, maintenance, quality, IT infrastructure, and cybersecurity teams.
- Facilitate workshops, demos, and feedback sessions with site teams and global stakeholders.
- Support change management activities including training materials, user guides, and communication plans.
Technology & Process Expertise
- Develop strong understanding of OT technologies (SCADA, PLCs, HMIs, industrial networks) and IT systems (MES, ERP, DFOS, cloud).
- Support integration efforts between OT systems and enterprise platforms.
- Identify opportunities for automation, predictive insights, and process optimization using real‑time OT–IT data.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.
🧩 Required Qualifications & Experience
- Educational background in Engineering, Automation, Manufacturing, IT, or related fields.
- Experience as a Business Analyst, OT Analyst, or IT Analyst in manufacturing or industrial automation environments.
- Understanding of OT systems such as SCADA, PLCs, HMIs, data historians, and industrial communication protocols (OPC/UA, MQTT, Modbus, Profinet).
- Familiarity with IT systems such as MES, ERP (SAP PP/MM/QM), DFOS, or cloud analytics platforms.
- Experience documenting requirements, user stories, process flows, and test cases.
- Exposure to industrial networks, cybersecurity principles, and edge‑to‑cloud architectures.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and a proactive, problem‑solving approach.
- Ability to work with global teams across time zones.
- Strong documentation and information management discipline.
⭐ Desirable Skills
- Experience with OT–IT convergence projects or IIoT architectures.
- Exposure to MES, DFOS, or manufacturing data platforms.
- Experience supporting multi‑site deployments or global manufacturing programs.
- Knowledge of industrial cybersecurity frameworks (ISA/IEC 62443).
