Job description
The Head of Environment & Energy Advisory is a business development-led leadership role responsible for building and growing the environmental and energy advisory activity within the Energy & Sustainable Cities business in Poland.
The role moves beyond traditional environmental delivery (EIA procedures) and focuses on:
- building market presence and pipeline,
- expanding into energy and advanced infrastructure sectors,
- developing internal competencies and team,
- positioning Egis as a credible advisory partner, not only a delivery support function.
The role is primarily focused on growth and business development, with direct impact on building a new activity line within the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development & Market Growth (Primary responsibility)
- Build and grow environmental and energy advisory pipeline in Poland
- Identify and develop opportunities across:
- infrastructure projects
- energy sector (transmission, renewables, advanced energy projects)
- Develop relationships with:
- public authorities
- contractors / D&B players
- energy sector stakeholders
- Position Egis as a trusted advisor in environmental and permitting topics
2. Development of Advisory Offering
- Expand Egis services beyond traditional EIA scope to include:
- environmental advisory
- permitting strategies
- support to complex infrastructure and energy projects
- Define a clear model:
- what is developed in-house
- what remains subcontracted
3. Team Leadership & Capability Building
- Lead and develop the environmental team within the Energy business
- Strengthen team capabilities in line with growth strategy
- Identify and recruit key profiles required for market expansion
4. Project Involvement & Delivery Support
- Support key strategic projects (infrastructure and energy)
- Ensure internal teams:
- are visible as authors of deliverables
- build experience and market references
- Contribute to reducing dependency on subcontractors through selective internalisation of expertise
5. Collaboration with Group & Cross-Functional Teams
- Collaborate with Egis Group teams and leverage international expertise
- Contribute to cross-border opportunities and knowledge exchange
- Work closely with:
- CPC Directors
- Project Managers
- Tender and business development teams
Essential Experience
- Strong experience in environmental consulting, infrastructure or energy sector
- Proven track record in business development / market growth
- Experience in:
- environmental permitting / EIA
- infrastructure or energy projects
- Experience in building client relationships and winning work
- Fluent English (mandatory – regular interaction with Group)

- business owner of environmental advisory activity within Energy
- driver of growth in new segments
- bridge between technical expertise and business development
This role is responsible for building a new environmental business activity, not only delivering environmental services.
