Job description

Duties include (not limited to):

  • Project Planning & Execution: Defining and clarifying the project scope, setting timelines, and establishing budgets. Facilitate meetings and presentations with clients and team members. Monitor project progress and adjust plans as needed.
  • Team Leadership: Managing and motivating design teams, assigning tasks, and providing guidance.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Keeping stakeholders informed on project progress, managing expectations, and addressing concerns.
  • Resource Management: Coordinate project schedules, resources, and budgets for design initiatives, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and stakeholder expectations.
  • Quality Assurance: Overseeing the quality of design deliverables and ensuring they meet standards.
  • Risk Management: Identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies.
  • Budget Management: Tracking project expenses and ensuring adherence to budget guidelines. 
  • Experience of undertaking cost/commercial management as part of integrated, multi-organization, collaborative teams is preferred.
  • Implement strategies to manage and control costs throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare detailed cost forecasts and budget reports, analyzing variances and identifying trends to support financial decision-making.
  • Implement cost control measures and monitor project expenditures, addressing any issues that could lead to budget overruns.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between design teams, marketing, product development, and external agencies to streamline workflows and resolve potential roadblocks.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables, using project management software to track progress effectively.
  • Manage scope changes and potential risks throughout the design project lifecycle, implementing mitigation strategies to keep projects on track and within budget.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular project status reports to stakeholders, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and upcoming activities.
  • Conduct post-project reviews to identify lessons learned and implement process improvements for future design initiatives and team efficiency.
  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, project management, or a related field.
  • 20 years of experience in the Consulting sector.
  • Proven experience in project management within a design or creative environment.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and techniques.
  • PMP Certification or equivalent is a plus
