Job description
Duties include (not limited to):
- Project Planning & Execution: Defining and clarifying the project scope, setting timelines, and establishing budgets. Facilitate meetings and presentations with clients and team members. Monitor project progress and adjust plans as needed.
- Team Leadership: Managing and motivating design teams, assigning tasks, and providing guidance.
- Stakeholder Communication: Keeping stakeholders informed on project progress, managing expectations, and addressing concerns.
- Resource Management: Coordinate project schedules, resources, and budgets for design initiatives, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and stakeholder expectations.
- Quality Assurance: Overseeing the quality of design deliverables and ensuring they meet standards.
- Risk Management: Identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies.
- Budget Management: Tracking project expenses and ensuring adherence to budget guidelines.
- Experience of undertaking cost/commercial management as part of integrated, multi-organization, collaborative teams is preferred.
- Implement strategies to manage and control costs throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare detailed cost forecasts and budget reports, analyzing variances and identifying trends to support financial decision-making.
- Implement cost control measures and monitor project expenditures, addressing any issues that could lead to budget overruns.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration between design teams, marketing, product development, and external agencies to streamline workflows and resolve potential roadblocks.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables, using project management software to track progress effectively.
- Manage scope changes and potential risks throughout the design project lifecycle, implementing mitigation strategies to keep projects on track and within budget.
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular project status reports to stakeholders, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and upcoming activities.
- Conduct post-project reviews to identify lessons learned and implement process improvements for future design initiatives and team efficiency.
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, project management, or a related field.
- 20 years of experience in the Consulting sector.
- Proven experience in project management within a design or creative environment.
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in project management tools and techniques.
- PMP Certification or equivalent is a plus
