About the Role

We are expanding into Salary Backed Products — a high-growth credit segment where loan repayments are automatically deducted from employees' payroll, drastically reducing credit risk and unlocking access for underserved borrowers. We are looking for a seasoned Head of Business Development to lead our go-to-market, build employer and partner pipelines, and scale this vertical across Mexico.

This is a founding role for the product line — you will define the distribution strategy, forge partnerships with employers and HR platforms, and work closely with Product, Risk, and Technology to make payroll-integrated credit a reality at scale. We are looking for someone who has done this before — either at a payroll bank or a fintech with deep employer integrations.

Key Responsibilities

Own the full commercial strategy for Salary Backed Products in Mexico

Identify, negotiate, and close partnerships with employers, HR platforms, and payroll system providers (e.g., Nómina integrations, HRMS vendors)

Build and manage a pipeline of corporate clients, prioritizing scale and payroll volume

Drive integration agreements with employers and accounting/ERP systems to enable automatic deduction flows

Collaborate with Product and Tech teams to define integration requirements and employer onboarding flows

Develop pricing, risk, and commission frameworks alongside Finance and Risk teams

Represent Novacard in the market — events, conferences, and industry networks

Build and lead a business development team as the vertical scales

Track and report on key commercial metrics: employer pipeline, activation rates, disbursement volumes, delinquency by segment
