What We're looking for:
Are you looking for a Technical Sales and Account Management career in a dynamic global business? We’re looking for a Business Development Manager to join our team and is a critical position in EROAD’s New Zealand business and is suitable for an experienced phone-based Sales or Account Manager with a great phone manner and passion for technology, and ideally experienced in managing customers in the civil, heavy transport, or large fleet space..
About the Role:
As EROAD expands globally, we are seeking a BDM role which has the primary focus of supporting EROAD to deliver business outcomes using our technology. In addition to account management of existing customers in our small to mid-sector, the role also entails a sales and growth component in your portfolio. The role involves face to face customer visits as required.
- Join us in an exciting role where you can contribute to the success and sustainability of our SMB sector through proactive and strategic engagement with customers.
- As a Business Development Manager you will be responsible for - Initiating calls to SMB customers currently using 2G/3G units to encourage upgrades to 4G. Provide detailed information and quotes to facilitate the transition.
- Build and develop strong ongoing relationships within the customers’ business to ensure influence over behaviors and to drive change.
- Maintain a regular ‘call plan’ to customers to update them on new products.
- Upsell of additional products to customers.
- Upsell of customers plans to increase ARPU.
- Ensuring you meet new unit growth, and retention targets.
- Face to face customer visits will be required from time to time.
Skills and Experience:
We’re looking for someone with a minimum of [3+ years' experience]. You may come from Technical Sales or Account Management background and possess skills such as:
- Experience in Telephone Account Management or sales, particularly within the telecommunications industry, is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and other relevant technologies.
