Job description

The Technical Analyst I will be an active contributor to the Legal Operations IT Support team, ensuring that the legal department is set up operationally to succeed through close coordination across all teams and standardized processes for efficient execution. This role provides Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for legal applications, process management, and report generation, and actively contributes to application upgrades, enhancements, and end-user training. The ideal candidate combines technical aptitude with a strong understanding of legal operations workflows and a collaborative, service-oriented mindset.

 

 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Application Support

  • Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 user and technical support for the Legal Solutions application suite, including but not limited to Thomson Reuters Legal Tracker, iManage, and Diligent Entities; provide guidance to others
  • Key team member responsible for Legal Reporting and governance of Legal sensitive data
  • Support implementation of enhancements to applications when required and customize them according to business needs
  • Support the server infrastructure on which legal applications run; verify and coordinate application patches
  • Support legal team application onboarding for new users and system rollouts
  • Interact with software vendors to identify and implement best solutions to business problems

 

Security & Compliance

  • Own the quarterly security reporting process across legal technology applications
  • Manage the auditing of access and permissions across various legal applications to ensure appropriate role-based controls are maintained

 

Process & Project Management

  • Translate project requirements into actionable items; ask clarifying questions to ensure deliverables align with desired objectives
  • Support the development of short- and long-term operations roadmaps by identifying potential projects
  • Identify and assist with implementing process improvements and scalable solutions around department systems, technologies, and controls

 

Training & Knowledge Management

  • Train end-users on application usage, best practices, and workflow procedures
  • Build documentation for organizational alignment, knowledge continuity, and self-service enablement

 

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Bachelor's degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience, or 5+ years at a comparable company with in-house legal practice
  • Familiarity with Legal Tracker, iManage, Diligent Entities, and other legal department-related software applications
  • Technical product management / application ownership is highly desirable.
  • Experience with Legal / HR Reporting and managing highly sensitive PR data is required
  • Proficiency with Office 365 suite; experience with DocuSign, Jira, GitHub, and ServiceNow is a plus
  • Working knowledge of Agile methodology
  • Working knowledge of AI capabilities preferred – Claude code OR AWS Agent Core is a plus
  • No formal certifications required; relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, Thomson Reuters Legal Tracker, PMP) are a plus
