As our Internal Audit Manager, Technology, you’ll play a key role within our Internal Audit team, partnering across the business to provide independent assurance on technology risk and control effectiveness. You’ll plan and deliver risk-based IT audits, uncovering insights that strengthen cybersecurity, systems, and operational resilience, while enabling smarter decision-making. Working closely with stakeholders at all levels, you’ll build trusted relationships, influence practical outcomes, and contribute to a forward-looking audit plan. Your Impact | Tō Pānga

  • Lead risk-based IT audits that surface critical insights, strengthening controls and enhancing the organisation’s resilience to evolving technology risks

  • Evaluate cybersecurity, systems, and development practices to identify gaps and drive meaningful improvements in risk management and operational effectiveness

  • Influence better decision-making by translating complex technical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for stakeholders at all levels

  • Build trusted relationships across the business, collaborating with audit and technology teams to embed robust controls within key processes

  • Drive continuous improvement by integrating data analytics and emerging tools to expand audit coverage, efficiency, and forward-looking insights

  • Champion accountability by monitoring remediation actions and ensuring timely resolution of audit findings, reinforcing a strong governance culture

Your Capabilities | Ō Āheinga

  • You bring strong experience in IT audit, technology risk, or IT operations, with a solid understanding of controls across cybersecurity, infrastructure, applications, and software development

  • You have the ability to analyse complex risks and translate them into clear, practical recommendations that support better business outcomes

  • You build trusted relationships and communicate confidently with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, influencing positive change at all levels

  • You demonstrate sound judgement, independence, and integrity, enabling you to provide objective assurance and balanced insights

  • You take ownership of your work, delivering high-quality outcomes within agreed timeframes while continuously looking for ways to improve

  • You may also have experience with data analytics, automation, or tools such as SQL or Python, and it’s great if you bring relevant certifications in IT audit, risk, or security
