The
Account Manager Medical South of Germany is responsible for the sales of our advanced medical solutions to public and private hospitals and clinics. This role is pivotal in achieving sustainable market share growth and profitable revenue, with a specialized focus on Advanced & Workflow Microsurgery. The ideal candidate will be highly collaborative, working closely with cross-functional departments (Customer Service, Marketing, Service, HR, Finance and Legal) to ensure alignment and support in meeting ambitious targets.
This position reports to the Sales Manager Medical CEE and is part of the medical sales team located in Germany working remotely to cover the Southern region (Frankfurt/Stuttgart/Munich).
Strategic Business Development: Develop and execute a robust local business strategy in alignment with EMEA guidelines, aiming for sustainable growth and significant market share gain. Leverage a deep understanding of local market dynamics, future trends, and the competitive landscape. Opportunity Identification: Research and identify new business opportunities that align with strategic directives. This includes generating sales, increasing installed base penetration, upselling existing contracts, and expanding the portfolio of solutions offered. Key Account Management: Implement a comprehensive key account management strategy for selected medical accounts, ensuring strong, long-term relationships Customer Needs Assessment: Continuously assess, clarify, and validate customer needs, providing transparent feedback to upper management and business units to refine strategies and offerings. Sales and Solutions Awareness & Operational Excellence: Drive awareness and adoption of Leica’s solutions through customer visits, consultations, workshops, and information sessions. Serve as the lead point of contact for key customers. Utilize Danaher Business Systems (DBS) tools to implement daily work and standard management practices, particularly in funnel management and forecasting.
Experience: Strong strategic selling experience in a B2B sales environment, with a proven track record in the medical industry. International and Matrix Experience: Demonstrated experience working in an international environment and within a matrix organization. Leadership and Communication: Strong leadership skills in sales management, opportunity assessment, and exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
