The Opportunity

We're hiring a Fleet Manager to own and grow our commercial/fleet business and oversee the day-to-day performance of our team. You'll drive revenue, keep vehicles moving, and deliver a five-star experience to business, government, and retail clients.

Responsibilities

  • Grow fleet sales and relationships
  • Spec and quote vehicles (light, medium and heavy duty trucks, vans, EV's) including upfits.
  • Incentives, and finance and lease structures.

• Hires, trains, motivates, counsels and monitors the performance of fleet salespeople.

• Direct sales staffing and training in ways that will enhance the development and control of sales programs.

• Monitors salesperson productivity and performance.

• Analyzes and controls expenditures to conform to budgetary requirements.

• Cultivate enriching relationships to create clientele and employees for life.

• Continuously develop product and sales acumen to become the vehicle expert. Know the in's and the out's of product offerings, optional packages, and latest technologies.

• Follow-up with buyers to ensure successful referral business.

• Report directly to the General Manager regarding objectives, planned activities, reviews, and analyses.

• Bring your 'A game' along with a positive attitude to work with you every day.

• Maintains a professional appearance.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years experience in fleet/ commercial/ and or retail sales operations.
  • Working knowledge of GM Programs (Business Elite, Fleet Incentives, GM Global Connect)

• Available to work flexible hours and weekends

• Self-starter mentality and entrepreneurial spirit preferred

• Ready to hit the ground running on learning new product in's and out's

• Fantastic communication skills with customers and team members

• Professional, well-groomed personal appearance

• Clean driving record and valid driver's license

• Willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screen

Nice to Have

  • Experience selling to municipalities or government buyers
  • Familiarity with OnStar Business Solutions, GM Envolve
  • Background in inventory planning and ordering
