English Teacher - Cornerstone School

We are looking for a dedicated English Teacher to further strengthen our talented and dedicated team. You will have responsibility for a designated class as a tutor, with the opportunity to teach all pupils in the school within your specialist subject.

The successful candidate will hold QTS and will have a proven record of excellent teaching, and behaviour management. You will need to be resilient and passionate about education, and embrace the challenges that working with pupils with this profile of need brings.

This post is a customer-facing position and falls within the scope of the Code of Practice on English Language Requirement for Public Sector Workers. The school has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
