Installation Design Engineer - CAD - Hybrid working (remote working with travel to Warwick or Dunball (Bridgwater) offices as required, typically a few times per month)

We're looking for an Installation Design Engineer to support a major UK Nuclear programme, producing high-quality infrastructure installation design documentation and ensuring designs meet customer, safety and industry standards.

What you'll do

  • Produce detailed installation design documentation, including layouts, schematics, and bills of materials
  • Develop and maintain installation guides for complex engineering designs
  • Work closely with technical design teams to resolve design issues and ensure accuracy
  • Support CAD activity, ensuring 2D and 3D models are precise and deliverable
  • Conduct site surveys and use findings to inform design outputs
  • Ensure all designs meet H&S, quality, and Safety by Design principles
  • Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of design processes

Who you are

You are a detail-oriented design engineer with strong CAD capability and a passion for delivering accurate, high-quality installation designs. You thrive in a collaborative environment, can engage with multiple stakeholders, and take pride in producing technically robust solutions for complex engineering programmes.

Key Requirements

  • Experience producing detailed installation designs within engineering or infrastructure projects
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD for 2D and 3D modelling
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Good understanding of H&S standards, including CDM design principles
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to undertake site visits when required
