Bank Oncology Pharmacist
Job description
About The Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Bank Oncology Pharmacist to join our growing clinical team at LloydsClinical. This flexible remote role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a highly skilled and supportive oncology pharmacy service, helping to ensure the safe and effective delivery of Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) to patients across the UK.
As part of the team, you will provide specialist oncology pharmacy expertise, clinically screen and verify SACT prescriptions, and support the wider multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care. You will also contribute to service development and operational improvements, supporting safe and efficient oncology pathways while maintaining compliance with relevant clinical governance and regulatory standards.
The role includes supporting the onboarding of new patients and services, developing prescription templates and training materials, and delivering clinical and operational training to colleagues. You will play an active role in maintaining quality standards through audits, continuous improvement initiatives, and adherence to SOPs, GPhC, BOPA, MHRA and GMP requirements.
About You
You will be a GPhC-registered Pharmacist with significant oncology experience and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care. Strong clinical screening and verification experience, excellent attention to detail, sound clinical judgement, and effective communication skills are essential, alongside a commitment to ongoing professional development.
Candidates must have completed, or be working towards, the BOPA SACT Passport Level 2 (A, B and C) in solid tumours and haematology. Experience in oncology wards, clinical screening of SACT prescriptions, IV oncology, chemotherapy ordering, and electronic prescribing systems such as iQemo is required. A postgraduate oncology qualification and previous experience training or developing pharmacy colleagues would be advantageous.
