JOB DESCRIPTION

GENERAL SUMMARY
Greenberry Industrial is seeking a detail-oriented and deadline-driven Fabrication Estimator to support the preparation and submission of accurate, competitive bids for complex industrial projects. This role is execution-focused and centered on delivering complete, compliant estimates on schedule in alignment with client-driven bid timelines.
The Estimator will be responsible for developing quantity takeoffs, pricing labor and materials, evaluating subcontractor and vendor quotes, and assembling bid packages across a diverse portfolio of industrial work. Primary estimating emphasis will be on structural steel, modular assemblies, pressure vessels, and nuclear-related scopes, with secondary exposure to piping and mechanical systems.
This position works closely with estimating leadership, project management, engineering, procurement, and business development to ensure estimates reflect scope requirements, execution strategies, and contractual obligations while meeting strict submission deadlines.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare accurate conceptual and detailed cost estimates in accordance with client bid schedules and submission requirements
- Perform quantity takeoffs from drawings, specifications, and models for structural steel, modular, vessel, and nuclear scopes
- Develop labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor pricing based on project requirements and execution strategy
- Solicit, review, and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations for scope alignment, completeness, and competitiveness
- Coordinate with engineering, fabrication, and field teams to validate constructability, productivity assumptions, and schedule impacts
- Incorporate quality, inspection, testing, and documentation requirements into estimates, particularly for nuclear and regulated work
- Review bid documents, technical specifications, and contractual requirements to ensure full compliance
- Assemble complete bid packages, including clarifications, exclusions, assumptions, and supporting documentation
- Manage multiple concurrent bids while consistently meeting hard submission deadlines
- Maintain organized estimate files and backup documentation for review and audit purposes
- Support pre-bid meetings, internal reviews, and post-bid clarifications as needed
- Contribute to continuous improvement of estimating tools, cost databases, and historical data
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong estimating background in structural steel, modular fabrication, vessels, or industrial construction
- Working knowledge of fabrication and field installation means and methods
- Understanding of quality-driven and regulated work environments; nuclear experience a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with estimating software preferred
- Familiarity with tools such as Procore, Autodesk Build, Navisworks, Tekla Powerfab, Trimble, SolidWorks, SharePoint, Strumis, or similar platforms
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines
- High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred
- 5–8 years of experience in industrial construction estimating
- Demonstrated experience estimating structural, modular, vessel, or nuclear-related scopes
- Exposure to piping or mechanical estimating considered beneficial but not required
- Experience supporting hard-bid and negotiated work in fast-paced environments
WORK SCHEDULE
- Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM or 7 AM - 4 PM
- Flexibility may be required to meet bid deadlines
- Occasional travel for site visits or client meetings
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Salary: $80,000 – $95,000 DOE
