About Us Bioagricert, a FoodChain ID company, is one of the leading certification bodies operating in the fields of organic production, sustainability, food safety, and voluntary certification schemes. To support the growth of our business and the evolution of our information systems, we are looking for a motivated professional to join our application development team.

The Role The successful candidate will join Bioagricert’s development team and contribute to the evolution of the company’s digital platforms, participating in the design and implementation of web applications, application services, and integrations with FoodChain ID Group systems. The position involves close collaboration with Bioagricert’s internal team, external technology partners, and international FoodChain ID teams, particularly in the United States and Brazil.

Key Responsibilities Web Application Development

• Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of Bioagricert’s business applications.
• Design and implement modern, user-friendly web interfaces.
• Participate in the development of application services and APIs.
• Support the digitalization of business processes and operational workflows.
• Assist in the analysis and implementation of new business requirements and functionalities. Systems Integration
• Support the integration of Bioagricert platforms with FoodChain ID Group systems.
• Contribute to the development of data exchange services between different applications.
• Participate in the evolution of the company’s application architecture toward modern web-based solutions.
• Collaborate with international teams to harmonize digital processes and solutions. Innovation and Continuous Improvement
• Contribute to the identification and evaluation of new technological solutions.
• Participate in the optimization and enhancement of existing applications.
• Support the definition and adoption of development standards and best practices. Qualifications
• Technical diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• A university degree in a computer-related field will be considered an advantage. Essential Technical Skills
• Knowledge of web application development principles.
• Good knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience with, or strong interest in, front-end web development.
• Knowledge of relational databases.
• Knowledge of SQL.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and systems integration concepts.
• Good written and spoken English. Preferred Qualifications
• Knowledge of C# and the .NET platform.
• Experience in web service development.
• Experience with service-oriented application architectures.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud environments.
• Experience with modern front-end frameworks.

Work Location The primary workplace will be Bioagricert’s offices in Casalecchio di Reno (Bologna), Italy . The role requires regular on-site presence to foster collaboration with internal teams, support understanding of business processes, and facilitate project coordination. Partial remote working is available in accordance with company policies and operational requirements.

Compensation and Employment Terms Employment terms will be governed by the Italian National Collective Labour Agreement for the Tertiary, Distribution and Services Sector (CCNL Terziario, Distribuzione e Servizi) applied by Bioagricert. Compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s technical skills, professional experience, and level of autonomy, ensuring alignment with the company’s compensation framework and with the principles of pay equity and pay transparency established by applicable legislation.

Ideal Candidate We are looking for a candidate with solid technical foundations and a strong passion for software development and web technologies. Previous experience in the certification industry is not required. We value technical aptitude, curiosity, willingness to learn, and the desire to contribute to the ongoing evolution of Bioagricert’s digital platforms within an international environment.
