We are seeking an Emergency Vehicle Upfit Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for completing public safety vehicle upfits, which could include Vehicle Lighting and Control Systems, Sirens, Prisoner Transport Systems, Radios, Radar, In-Car-Camera Systems, License Plate Readers, Equipment Consoles and Cargo Cabinets, Weapon and Drone mounting systems, and/or front push bar. Whether experienced or someone with applicable skillsets and excited to learn, we will train the right candidate.

Compensation and Benefits

  • $20-$22 per hour, trainee based on experience, and $22-$24 for experienced, based on experience
  • Health Benefits (Medical, Dental, and Vision)

  • Full Time-Hourly/Non-exempt
  • Monday-Friday 7:30 A.M. – 4:00 P.M. Some overtime required Location

Attributes of a Strong Candidate

  • Ability to work with hand and power tools such as screw drivers, wrenches, hand drills, etc. – a must
  • Proven 12V experience – a plus
  • Ability to read blueprints/schematics - a plus
  • Aptitude in mechanical, electrical, and electronic components from various sources is a plus
  • Capability to bend, twist, reach, and lift to 50 lbs. without assistance
  • Capacity to work independently and in a team environment
  • Strong Work Ethic
  • Thirst for Knowledge
  • Valid Driver’s License

P rimary Responsibilities

  • Removal of factory interior and exterior equipment and parts
  • Installation of specialized emergency vehicle Lightbars, Emergency lighting, Push Bumpers, Sirens, Controllers, Speakers, Partitions, Window Bars, Prisoner seats, Gun racks, in-car video, Computers, License Plate Recognition, and much more
  • Attention to detail as it relates to job progress and tracking of hours
