Title of Position Parks Department – 55+ Summer Senior Park Laborer Salary $16.00

Schedule: Approximately 10 hours per week Holidays are Not Paid

Program Begins: Early Spring 2026 until End of August 2026

55+ Summer Park Laborer Overview Over 55? Apply to be a Summer Senior Park Laborer to keep your neighborhood Park sparkly and tidy. Collect and dispose of trash, water and weed gardens, and report any other park deficiencies.

Responsibilities include

• Collect and dispose of trash, water and weed gardens
• Call in any other park deficiencies
• Complies with regulations as required by local health code
• Perform other tasks as needed

Minimum Entrance Qualifications Successful applicants will

• Have the ability to work flexible hours
• Have the ability to exercise good judgement and focus on details as required by the position
• Preference given to Providence residents.
• Preference given to former 55+ Summer Senior Park Laborers

Note: All applicants 18 and older, will be required to complete a form for a background check, run by the Providence Police
