Position Overview

We are seeking a Legal Specialist to support PalmPay Bangladesh by handling specific legal areas such as labor law, intellectual property, regulatory compliance, and corporate legal matters . This role will focus on legal execution, documentation, advisory support, and risk mitigation while ensuring alignment with local laws and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

Legal Advisory & Execution

•

Provide legal advice on assigned areas including labor law, intellectual property, and commercial matters.

•

Support business and internal departments with day-to-day legal consultations.

•

Interpret laws, regulations, and regulatory guidelines applicable in Bangladesh.

Contract & Document Management

•

Draft, review, and analyze contracts, agreements, MOUs, and legal documents.

•

Identify legal risks in contracts and propose practical mitigation measures.

•

Maintain proper documentation and legal records.

Legal Research & Analysis

•

Conduct legal research on relevant laws, rules, and judicial precedents.

•

Prepare legal opinions, summaries, and internal legal guidance notes.

•

Monitor legal and regulatory developments impacting the business.

Compliance & Risk Support

•

Assist in ensuring compliance with Bangladesh labor laws, company policies, and regulatory requirements.

•

Support internal investigations, dispute handling, and compliance reviews.

•

Coordinate with external lawyers, regulators, and authorities when required.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

•

Work closely with HR, Compliance, Finance, Operations, and Business teams.

•

Support internal training sessions on legal awareness and compliance topics.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Education & Certification

•

LLB and LLM or above from a recognized university.

•

Bangladesh Bar Council license (Advocate license mandatory)

•

Additional professional legal certifications are an advantage.

Experience

•

3–5 years of relevant legal experience in corporate, fintech, financial services, telecom, or law firms.

•

Hands-on experience in legal documentation, contract review, and advisory work.

•

Exposure to labor law and IP-related matters is strongly preferred.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

High attention to detail with strong execution capability.

Language

•

Fluency in English and Bangla (written and verbal).
