š About Valeria
Valeria is building the future of HR and payroll in Spain. We're an AI-native platform that automates contracts, payroll, and compliance for companies with high employee turnover (hospitality, delivery, events, agriculture). We're rethinking how an entire industry works ā moving from manual, error-prone processes to intelligent automation.
We're a fast-growing startup backed by top investors, disrupting a ā¬5B+ market that's still stuck in spreadsheets and legacy software.
š¼ The Role You'll be the first human touchpoint for prospects at Valeria. Marketing brings them into the funnelāyou're the one who opens the real conversation. You'll own the top of the funnel: researching accounts, running outbound sequences, qualifying leads, and booking the meetings that turn interest into revenue.
This isn't a passive role. You'll work directly with the AE and founders to figure out what messaging works, which verticals convert, and how to build a pipeline that scales. If you perform, the path to AE is real and fast.
š¤ What You'll Do Be the first point of contact for inbound leads and outbound prospectsāprimarily in hospitality, logistics, events, and agriculture
ā¢
Run personalized outbound sequences across cold calls, LinkedIn, and emailānot templated spray-and-pray
ā¢
Qualify leads based on ICP criteria and book meetings for the AE
ā¢
Work closely with marketing and the AE to align on messaging, targeting, and what resonates with buyers
ā¢
Test and iterate on outreach strategiesāshare what works, kill what doesn't
ā¢
Keep CRM data clean and accurate so pipeline is always trustworthy
ā¢
Feed market insights back to the team: objections, competitor mentions, buying signals
š Who You Are Required
ā¢
1ā2 years of experience in sales, BDR, or a customer-facing roleāwe care more about drive than years
ā¢
Excellent communication skills in Spanishāyou can open doors, handle objections, and build rapport fast
ā¢
Hunter mindset: curious, resilient, and motivated by hitting targets
ā¢
Comfortable with rejectionāyou treat every "no" as data, not a defeat
ā¢
High ownership and bias to action: you don't wait to be told what to do
Highly Valued
ā¢
Catalan fluency (many of our target customers are Catalonia-based)
ā¢
English proficiency (useful for internal communication and future expansion)
ā¢
Experience selling or working in HR, payroll, or operations-heavy environments
ā¢
Familiarity with tools like HubSpot, Salesforce, Apollo, or similar
ā¢
Background in high-turnover industries (hospitality, logistics, staffing)āyou understand the pain we solve
āļø What makes you a great fit: You get energy from picking up the phone. You write outreach that actually gets repliesābecause it's specific, relevant, and human. You're coachable but don't need hand-holding. You want to grow into a closing role and you know this is the best way to get there. You care about the problem Valeria is solving, not just the quota.
ā¤ļø What We Offer
ā¢
Competitive compensation: ā¬25,000 (fix) + ā¬10,000 (variable) gross salary
ā¢
Free lunch when you're at the office (thanks to Nora)
ā¢
Flexible remuneration with Coverflex
ā¢
Flexibility: Hybrid setup (HQ in Barcelona), 60 days/year remote work from anywhere
ā¢
Unlimited PTO ā take the time you need, no counting days
ā¢
Mission-driven work: Transform how payroll and HR are done in Spain ā solve real problems for real businesses and their employees
ā¢
Founding team impact: Join early enough to shape how we serve and grow our client base
ā¢
Ownership and autonomy: Direct collaboration with founders, your voice matters in product, process, and positioning decisions
ā¢
Modern culture: We care about client outcomes, honest feedback, and building things that actually work
š Why Join Valeria Now?
ā¢
Timing: We're past the idea stage with real customers and revenue, but early enough that you'll define how we scale
ā¢
Market opportunity: ā¬5B+ market in Spain, every company with employees needs payroll, and current solutions are outdated and painful
ā¢
Product-market fit: We're solving a painful, expensive problem with a product customers actually love
