About Community Integrated Care

Community Integrated Care is one of the UK's largest health and social care charities. We transform lives by delivering high-quality, person-centred support that fosters independence and empowerment.

Our charity was founded in 1988 and we were one of the pioneers of the 'Care in the Community' agenda, enabling people to move out of long-stay institutions and live more fulfilling lives.

Since then, we've remained leaders in social care, providing bespoke support to thousands across the UK. Today, we support more than 2,600 people and employ 6,600 caring and committed colleagues across England and Scotland.

We have a proud history of breaking boundaries and are always looking for new ways to make a positive difference through bold ideas, innovative projects and impactful partnerships.

Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role

Working closely with the Service Leader and the Support Worker team, you will be responsible for supporting two ladies with their day to day lives in their own home. The people we support are unique, so you will provide person-centred support and will focus on achieving the best lives possible with them.

Our Shifts: 7am - 3.30pm | 3.30pm - 9pm | 7am - 2pm | 4.30pm - 9pm | 9pm - 7am ( Waking Nights)

Shift Requirement: We are ideally recruiting for staff to work a combination of day shifts and night shifts, with some weekend work required

Contract: Full-time permanent contracts available (37.5 hours per week)

UK Driving License Required? No

What You'll Be Doing

You'll be supporting 2 amazing individuals to live their lives in the way they want to live. This means you will provide support in a wide variety of ways, including:

  • Supporting with personal care and moving and positioning
  • PEG management and clinical support (if you have a hospital background, that would be a big bonus!)
  • Medication Administration
  • Home management, including support with cooking, cleaning, shopping and budget management
  • Daily activities - anything and everything the people we support like to do is something you might provide support with! So come ready and willing to put yourself out there and enjoy dancing, ABBA, shopping, cooking/baking, listening to music, visiting family and watching movies

Sometimes the people we support really need a male or female person to support them. For this particular role, a female colleague is required. This is a genuine occupational requirement as defined by the Equality Act 2010

About you

What We're Looking For At Community Integrated Care, we know it takes someone special to work in social care and that doesn't always mean having experience. We hire based on values, welcoming people from all walks of life: seasoned support workers, Care Assistants, Veterans, those with lived experience, or even total newbies with a passion to care.
