- Develop and peer review product enhancements
- Diagnose, investigate and resolve bugs
- Participate in SCRUM ceremonies, including daily stand ups, demos and retrospectives.
- Work closely with both technical and non technical colleagues
- Guide and mentor less experienced members of the team where necessary
- Drive improvements to working practices by keeping up to date with the latest trends and technologies
About You
Technical Skills and Experience

It's likely that the suitable candidate will have at least two years of commercial experience in a software development role.
Personal Attributes
We believe that technical skills and experience are only part of your story. At Mayden, our culture is built on how we work together to solve problems.
We're looking for someone who can answer "yes" to the following:
- Do you take pride in your work and are you ready to bring your experience to the team?
- Are you comfortable with giving and receiving feedback and able to self manage?
- Do you have a track record of good self-organisation, communication, and a flexible approach to work?
- Are you keen to learn new technologies and skills and to mentor and contribute to the development of others?
- Are you willing to learn and be self reflective?
Please note
We use AI tools internally and externally as part of our work, we support our clients to use them thoughtfully, and we know many candidates will use them too. When used well, AI can be a helpful support to, but not a replacement for, human thinking, creativity or judgement.
We strongly encourage applicants to ensure their applications authentically reflect their own experience and capability. Our recruitment decisions are always made by people. We're interested in your skills, your curiosity, and how you approach problems.
If you choose to use AI tools for formatting or assistance, please use them ethically and responsibly, make it clear how and where you have used them, and take care to review and personalise your application accordingly.
Why Apply
We offer exciting opportunities to learn new skills and an excellent package of benefits including:
- 23 days annual leave plus bank holidays (31 days in total), increasing with service, with the option to buy and sell leave
- Life assurance at 4 x annual salary
- Pension - employer contribution of 6%
- Hybrid working
Location and Flexibility
This is a permanent, full-time position (37.5 hours, Monday to Friday 9am to 5:30pm) , based at our offices at the Staffordshire Technology Park, Stafford.
Our Approach to Work: Collaboration is one of our four company values - we work best together. We recognise the significant benefits of face-to-face interaction. At the same time, some tasks can be completed just as effectively independently and away from the office.
We ask everyone to spend sufficient time in the office to maintain strong relationships, communication, and team cohesion. As a general guide, we encourage colleagues to work from the office at least two days per week, while recognising this may vary depending on individual roles and the nature of the work.
