This is your chance to play a pivotal role in shaping the networks that will power the future.

We are interested in speaking with Principal , Senior , and experienced Overhead Line Design Engineers who want to explore future opportunities aligned with our growth strategy. These roles sit within our Transmission & Distribution team and can be based from any of our UK offices, offering flexibility alongside technically challenging, meaningful work.

Performing insulation coordination and lightning performance studies

Producing core OHL deliverables such as line schedules, plan and profile drawings, staking tables and special crossings designs

Undertaking feasibility studies to assess technical and economic viability

Collaborating closely with civil, structural and other engineering disciplines to ensure safe, integrated design solutions

This is a varied and rewarding role that will see you influencing both project outcomes and the wider technical direction of our T&D offering.

Applying your expertise in PLS‑CADD to develop new designs and modify existing assets

Ensuring alignment with UK design standards and regulatory requirements

Supporting multidisciplinary collaboration to drive safe, efficient and innovative solutions

Contributing to workload planning and OHL delivery across multiple concurrent projects

Your technical insight and problem‑solving ability will directly influence the resilience and performance of the UK's transmission network.

About You

You will ideally hold a degree in Mechanical , Electrical , Structural or Civil Engineering , or have equivalent industry experience gained through a hands‑on or construction‑based pathway. CEng or IEng status-or progress toward professional registration-would be advantageous.

You bring

Experience as an Overhead Line Design Engineer or in a closely related T&D role

Strong capability in PLS‑CADD , covering both new build and modification projects

A solid understanding of UK OHL design standards and requirements

Experience working within a consultancy, design & build contractor, or asset owner environment

Ideally, exposure to complementary disciplines such as HV plant , HV cable design , or T&D civil design

The ability to manage OHL delivery and workloads across multiple projects

A collaborative mindset, passion for technical excellence, and commitment to client service
