The Highlands Family are Recruiting!
The Highlands is a spacious 14 bedded residential care home in Tyne & Wear supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, physical disabilities, Acquired Brain Injury and complex care needs. We provide a high level of support to enable them to achieve their personal goals, reach their full potential and to live wonderfully normal lives in the community and their own home.
The individuals we support at The Highlands love to part take in arts and crafts and have recently entered our Salutem in Bloom competition and received an amazing Special CEO Commendation! They love planning and hosting parties and never miss the opportunity to celebrate any event! They're huge lovers of Christmas and eagerly anticipate putting up decorations each year. They love all things music and love karaoke!

About The Role
As a Flexibank Support Worker, you will be at the forefront of providing high-quality, enabling care. Every day brings new challenges and rewards, making this a truly fulfilling role. You'll be key in helping us achieve our goal of being the best in the field.
Key Responsibilities
- Individual Outcome and Wellbeing: Implement person-centered support plans, promote independence, manage risks, encourage relationships, and ensure legal and best practice compliance.
- Activity Planning: Develop flexible, engaging activity plans that promote autonomy and personal growth.
- Health and Lifestyle: Support individuals in maintaining healthy lifestyles and managing their health needs.
- Communication: Facilitate effective communication and maintain detailed, person -centered records.
- Medication Management: Oversee medication processes and support individuals in self-administration.
- Safety and Environment: Maintain a safe, clean-living environment and adhere to health and safety protocols.
