Job description

Sales Consultant | Grubbs Family of Dealerships

About Us

Grubbs Family of Dealerships is a multi-brand, family-owned automotive group with deep roots across the DFW Metroplex and the state of Texas. We've built our reputation on doing right by our customers and our people - and we're looking for team members who share those values.

We invest in our people, provide real opportunities to grow, and take pride in the experience we deliver to both our customers and our team members. When you join Grubbs, you join a culture built on integrity, professionalism, and continuous improvement. We set a high bar - and we give you the training, tools, and support to clear it.

The Opportunity

We're seeking a motivated, customer-focused Sales Consultant to help guests find the right vehicle and deliver an outstanding buying experience. Whether you're experienced or brand new to the industry, we'll give you the training and support to succeed - and we'll hold you to a high standard of effort, follow-up, and customer care.

What You'll Do

  • Own the customer experience from greeting to delivery, guiding every guest through a consultative, transparent sales process
  • Respond to every lead - phone, internet, and walk-in - quickly, and follow a disciplined daily prospecting and follow-up routine
  • Build deep product knowledge and confidently present vehicles, features, and value versus the competition
  • Conduct professional, needs-based demonstrations and test drives
  • Follow up relentlessly with leads, unsold guests, and past customers to build repeat and referral business
  • Work with sales management and F&I to structure clean, compliant, transparent deals
  • Deliver a thorough vehicle delivery - set up technology, review features, and schedule the first service
  • Maintain accurate, current records on every customer in the CRM

The Standard We Hold

We set a high bar at Grubbs. In this role, success means consistently delivering on the following:

  • Hit and exceed monthly unit and gross goals while protecting CSI
  • Same-day follow-up on 100% of leads and unsold guests
  • Maintain a high customer satisfaction score on every delivery
  • Grow a personal base of repeat and referral customers over time
  • Show up prepared, professional, and ready to work every day

What We're Looking For

  • Sales or customer service experience preferred - we train the right person
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working on commission
  • Professional appearance and a customer-first attitude
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Why Grubbs?

  • Strong earning potential - we reward performance, full stop
  • Paid training and a clear path to advancement
  • Family-owned, people-first culture - you're not a number here
  • Health, dental, and vision benefits
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid time off
  • Employee vehicle purchase program
