Compliance Manager - Transport

About The Role

Join us here at Poundland & Dealz as a Compliance Manager and you'll play a key role in ensuring our transport operation remains safe, efficient and fully compliant with all relevant legislation and company standards.

You'll work closely with transport colleagues, external partners and key stakeholders to oversee compliance activities across our fleet operation, ensuring we meet operator licence requirements, tachograph regulations, working time legislation and internal policies. From managing audits and compliance reporting to handling insurance claims and supporting operational improvements, you'll be at the heart of maintaining high standards across the transport function.

Working in a fast-paced environment, you'll take ownership of transport compliance processes, monitor performance against key measures and identify opportunities to strengthen controls and improve efficiency. You'll support the wider transport team by providing expert guidance on legislation and best practice, while ensuring compliance activities are completed accurately and on time.

A proactive, organised and detail-focused approach is essential. You'll be confident managing multiple priorities, analysing data and producing reports, while building effective working relationships across the business. You'll also support insurance claims administration, transport audits, operator licence compliance and legal requirements, helping to protect both our colleagues and the business.

This role calls for someone with a strong understanding of UK transport legislation, tachograph regulations and transport operations. Previous experience within a transport compliance environment is essential, along with excellent organisational, communication and workload planning skills. A CPC qualification would be advantageous.
