Job description

We're seeking an experienced, highly dependable Lead Caregiver to support new client starts, complex care situations, caregiver transitions, and quality-focused care delivery across our service area.

Pay

  • Competitive pay: $18.00 - $21.00/hr, based on experience and qualifications

The Lead Caregiverl is one of the most trusted members of our caregiving team. This role helps new clients get off to a strong start, learns the unique routines and needs of each home, supports and trains caregivers entering new assignments, and provides consistent backup coverage when members of a care team are unavailable. Lead Caregivers work closely with office staff, clients, families, and caregivers to improve continuity, strengthen communication, and help ensure every client receives safe, reliable, high-quality care. What Makes This Role Different?

As a Lead Caregiver, you won't simply be assigned routine shifts. You'll be strategically deployed to:

  • Support new client Starts of Care
  • Stabilize higher-need or higher-risk cases
  • Help identify the best long-term caregiver match
  • Provide valuable field observations that improve care quality
  • Support on boarding and hands-on coaching opportunities when appropriate
  • Serve as one of the office's most trusted front line care professionals

Responsibilities

  • Assist with personal care needs, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support
  • Support clients living with dementia, cognitive impairment, or chronic health conditions
  • Assist with transfers, ambulation, and fall-risk prevention
  • Observe and communicate changes in client condition or environment
  • Support caregiver transitions and warm hand offs
  • Provide feedback that improves care planning and staffing decisions

Must Have Qualifications

  • Professional caregiving experience - facility or home care
  • Experience with dementia or Alzheimer's care, to include late stage
  • Strong transfer and mobility-assistance skills
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and active vehicle insurance
  • Ability to travel throughout the service area
  • Ability to use mobile technology for scheduling and documentation
  • Physical ability to safely perform essential caregiving duties
  • Adaptable to different personalities and home environments
