Job description

We have an immediate opening for a Full time parts runner. If you are energetic, self-motivated, punctual, and a quick-learner, we have a position for YOU!

  • **Transportation**: Transporting parts and materials between locations. This can include picking up parts from suppliers, delivering parts to technicians, and moving items within the facility.
  • **Inventory Management**: Assisting with inventory control by checking stock levels, verifying deliveries, and ensuring that parts are correctly logged in inventory systems.
  • **Communication**: Coordinating with various departments to understand their needs and ensure timely delivery of parts. This involves effective communication with suppliers, technicians, and management.
  • **Documentation**: Maintaining accurate records of all transactions, deliveries, and receipts. This includes processing paperwork and updating databases.
  • **Vehicle Maintenance**: Ensuring that the delivery vehicle is in good working condition, scheduling regular maintenance, and reporting any issues to management.
  • **Problem Solving**: Addressing any issues that arise during deliveries, such as incorrect parts, delays, or logistical challenges, and finding solutions to keep operations running smoothly.
  • **Customer Service**: Providing excellent service to internal and external customers, ensuring that their parts needs are met promptly and accurately.

A lot porter, often employed in automotive dealerships or rental car companies, plays a vital role in maintaining the orderliness and appearance of vehicle lots. Here are the primary responsibilities of a lot porter:

  • **Vehicle Movement**: Moving vehicles within the lot to designated areas. This includes arranging vehicles to maximize space and ensure easy access for customers and staff.

A parts runner needs to have a valid driver's license, a good driving record, basic knowledge of automotive or machinery parts, and good organizational and time-management skills. Physical stamina is also important as the job often requires lifting and moving heavy parts.
