Job Description: Vehicle Inventory & Social Media Coordinator

Position Summary

The Vehicle Inventory & Social Media Coordinator is responsible for maintaining dealership vehicle inventory, ensuring accurate online listings, maintaining vehicle merchandising standards, and creating engaging social media content to increase brand awareness, customer engagement, and vehicle sales. This role bridges inventory and digital marketing by showcasing available vehicles across online platforms and social media channels.

Key Responsibilities

• Film, photograph and upload files into dealer management systems.

• Coordinate vehicle arrivals, transfers, and stock updates within dealership management systems.

• Ensure vehicle information, pricing, specifications, guidelines and photos are correctly listed on the dealership website and third-party automotive marketplaces.

• Working with service detailers and sales managers to have vehicles photo ready.

  • Track vehicle status, including sold, pending, and available inventory.

Vehicle Merchandising

  • Photograph and video vehicles for online listings and marketing campaigns.
  • Write compelling vehicle descriptions highlighting key features and benefits.
  • Ensure all vehicles are professionally presented online with high-quality images and accurate details.
  • Coordinate vehicle placement and presentation on the lot to maximize visibility.

Social Media Management

• Develop and execute social media content strategies across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.

  • Create and schedule engaging content, including vehicle showcases, promotions, customer testimonials, dealership events, and educational automotive content.
  • Produce short-form video content and live vehicle walk-arounds.
  • Monitor social media channels and respond to customer inquiries, comments, and messages in a timely and professional manner.
  • Grow audience engagement and increase followers through creative campaigns and community interaction.

Marketing & Lead Generation

  • Collaborate with sales and management teams to promote featured vehicles, specials, and dealership events.
  • Track social media performance metrics and provide monthly reports on engagement, reach, and lead generation.

• Assist in developing digital advertising campaigns to drive website traffic and vehicle inquiries. Our Dealer Administrator will help you with this.

  • Identify emerging social media trends and implement innovative marketing ideas.

Administrative Duties

  • Maintain content calendars and posting schedules.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all digital platforms.
  • Manage relationships with third-party listing providers and marketing vendors.
  • Support dealership marketing initiatives and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in photography and filming preferred, not required.

  • Strong photography, videographing, and content creation skills.
  • Proficiency with social media platforms and scheduling tools.

• Experience with dealership management systems (DMS) and inventory software is a plus, not required. In store training is provided either way.

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking abilities.
  • Basic graphic design and video editing experience preferred.

Starting Pay: Depends on experience

Reports To: Dealer Administrator/ General Manager Employment Type: Full-Time Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, Occasional Saturdays for dealer events only (not required)
