Job description
A Cocoa Ford Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing Ford vehicles to manufacturer standards while delivering quality service and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Pay Range: $35,000 to $130,000 yearly (depending on experience)
Job Description Summary
Perform diagnostic testing, routine maintenance, and complex mechanical and electrical repairs on Ford vehicles using specialized tools, equipment, and manufacturer resources. Follow repair procedures and safety guidelines established by Ford Motor Company while accurately documenting work performed. Collaborate with service advisors and parts personnel to ensure timely repairs, maintain productivity goals, and provide an exceptional customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on gasoline, diesel, hybrid, and electric vehicles.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns using Ford diagnostic equipment and software.
- Complete warranty and customer-pay repairs according to manufacturer standards.
- Conduct routine services, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs, and multi-point inspections.
- Maintain accurate repair orders, technician notes, and time records.
- Communicate repair findings and recommendations to service advisors.
- Stay current on Ford technical service bulletins, recalls, and training requirements.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all dealership, environmental, and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous automotive repair experience.
- Current ASE certifications preferred.
- Completion of Ford factory training programs preferred.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Strong diagnostic, problem-solving, and communication skills
