Parts Counterperson
Location: Hawk Nissan - St. Charles, IL
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Saturday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
(some Saturdays required, will receive following Monday off)
Starting Pay: $18-20/hour (based on experience)
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly-organized Automotive Parts Counterperson to coordinate vehicle parts for our service department and retail customers. You will serve as the crucial link between our service technicians, wholesale accounts, and retail patrons, ensuring the right parts are ordered, tracked, and delivered promptly.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers in person and answer phone calls. Provide accurate price quotes and help customers select the exact parts and accessories they need.
- Load and unload parts safely and efficiently
- Receive, unpack, and stock incoming parts. Assist with regular inventory checks and bin counts to ensure physical stock matches computer records.
- Learn and support counter procedures, including parts lookup invoicing, and stocking
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the parts department and delivery vehicles
- Source out-of-stock parts from external vendors. Track back-ordered items and update service advisors or customers on their arrival status.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
- Strong attention to detail and time management
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Prior automotive or warehouse experience is a plus
- CDK experience is a plus
