Accountant Toronto | Hybrid
StrategyCorp is seeking an Accountant to join our Finance Team in Toronto.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
The successful candidate will support the day-to-day financial operations of the firm, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the Finance function.
This role will be responsible for key accounting activities including balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, reporting, and month-end processes. The successful candidate will also support finance projects, process improvements, system enhancements, and the ongoing implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC).
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and collaborative, with a strong foundation in accounting and a desire to improve processes and drive operational excellence
KEY EXPERIENCE
- Experience with full-cycle accounting and month-end close processes
- Experience preparing and maintaining timely and accurate balance sheet reconciliations
- Experience preparing and posting journal entries
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Experience supporting internal financial reporting and analysis
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Experience identifying opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency, and support automation initiatives
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across teams and provide support where needed
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications
- Experience working with ERP systems and financial software
- Experience supporting system implementations, conversions, or upgrades is considered an asset
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC) is considered an asset CORE COMPETENCIES
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- 5+ years of accounting or finance experience
- Experience preparing reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting month-end close activities
- Experience with financial reporting and analysis
- Strong Excel skills and experience working with financial systems
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with process improvement or automation initiatives is considered an asset
- CPA designation or progress toward a CPA designation is considered an asset KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and maintain monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare and post journal entries accurately and on a timely basis
- Collaboration in the year end review process
- Support month-end and year-end close activities
- Assist with financial reporting and analysis
- Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities within the Finance function
- Provide support and backup coverage for Finance team members as required namely in accounts payable and invoicing
- Assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT), training, and post-go-live support related to Business Central implementation activities
- Support finance-related system enhancements, upgrades, and process documentation
- Participate in special projects and other finance initiatives as required WHAT WE OFFER:
