Job Title Field Operator – Water Operations Compensation $66.15/hr (1099 Rate) Location Spring, TX 77389 Schedule 14/14 Target Start Date ASAP Scope The Field Operator – Water Operations position is responsible for remotely monitoring, controlling, and optimizing water infrastructure through SCADA systems. The role supports Clean Brine Facilities, Salt Water Disposal (SWD) systems, ponds, and interconnected water distribution networks while coordinating with field personnel to maintain safe, reliable operations. Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor Clean Brine Facilities, SWDs, ponds, and water distribution systems using SCADA.
  • Track flow rates, pressures, tank/reservoir levels, and overall system performance.
  • Remotely operate pumps, valves, and inlets to optimize water movement.
  • Respond to alarms and troubleshoot operational issues from the control environment.
  • Coordinate with field operators, electrical crews, and maintenance personnel for repairs and emergency response.
  • Dispatch field technicians when on-site intervention is required.
  • Maintain operational logs and generate daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, regulatory, and safety requirements.
  • Participate in training, system upgrades, and continuous process improvements. Required Skills & Qualifications Water Operations Experience
  • Experience with Clean Brine Facilities.
  • Salt Water Disposal (SWD) operations.
  • Water distribution systems and system interconnects.
  • Ponds and water infrastructure.
  • Understanding of tank batteries and production equipment. Technical Skills
  • Strong SCADA experience for monitoring and remote operations.
  • Basic electrical and mechanical knowledge of pumps, valves, and instrumentation.
  • Ability to interpret alarms and troubleshoot remotely. Computer Skills
  • Proficiency with SCADA and data logging software.
  • Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong overall computer proficiency (manager notes that computer-savvy candidates are highly preferred). Analytical Skills
  • Ability to analyze operating data and identify trends or abnormal conditions.
  • Quick decision-making during alarms, failures, or emergency situations. Communication
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Accurate documentation of operational changes, incidents, and reports.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with field operations and maintenance teams. Ideal Candidate The strongest candidates will have:
  • Water infrastructure operations experience.
  • Hands-on SCADA monitoring and control experience.
  • SWD and Clean Brine Facility operations.
  • Experience dispatching field crews and coordinating maintenance activities.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with pumps, valves, and instrumentation.
  • Excellent computer skills and comfort working in a control room environment.
  • Experience generating reports and maintaining operational documentation. Manager Notes
