Who We Are: Since 1963, A&H Equipment Co. has been the leading provider of municipal, truck and environmental solutions in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and now in Ohio.

Role Overview: A&H is seeking a Parts Fabricator for our Somerset, PA location . The Parts Fabricator will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining a variety of fabrication machinery to layout, cut, bend, and weld metal components according to technical specifications.

This role is shift work 6:00am to 2:30pm, Monday through Friday. No weekend work and some overtime with approval.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality MIG and TIG welding on various materials including steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and fabrication sketches to plan layout and welding sequences.
  • Inspect welds for structural integrity, bead quality, and adherence to dimensional specifications.
  • Set up and safely operate a CNC Burn Table (Plasma/Oxy-Fuel) to cut raw metal plate.
  • Program, set up, and operate a Press Brake to bend, shape, and form metal parts to precise angles.
  • Utilize a Metal Shear and Iron Worker for cutting, punching, shearing, and notching metal stock.
  • Set up and operate industrial Band Saws to cut raw materials to exact lengths (preferred).
  • Safely operate an Overhead Crane to move, position, and flip large, heavy weldments and raw materials throughout the shop.
  • Rig loads properly using chains, straps, and hooks in accordance with strict safety protocols.
  • Operate a Forklift safely to load/unload materials, feed production lines, and organize warehouse inventory (preferred).

Education and Experience Requirements

  • 2+ years of industrial metal fabrication or manufacturing experience.
  • Current or prior Forklift certification.
  • Valid driver’s license required; Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for long periods, and work comfortable in a manufacturing shop environment.
  • Proven experience with MIG and TIG welding across steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
  • Hands-on experience operating a Press Brake, Metal Shear, Iron Worker, and Burn Table.
  • Certified or highly experienced in operating Overhead Cranes and proper rigging technique.

The hourly rate range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00, depending on fitness and relevant experience.
