As a Scheduler, Here's a Big-Picture View of What You'll Do:

Coordinate and optimize daily and weekly schedules for nurses, therapists, and home health aides

Match staff availability, skills, geographic locations, and patient needs to ensure efficient scheduling

Respond quickly to schedule changes, call-outs, cancellations, and urgent patient needs

Communicate professionally with patients, families, referral sources, and clinical staff regarding scheduling matters

Serve as a central point of contact for scheduling-related inquiries and problem resolution

Maintain accurate scheduling information within company software systems and electronic medical records

Collaborate closely with clinical, intake, and administrative teams to improve efficiency and patient satisfaction

Monitor scheduling trends and identify opportunities to improve workflow and resource utilization

Perform administrative duties and data entry as needed to support office operations

Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable regulations

A Few Must-Haves for Schedulers

Minimum of two (2) years of scheduling, dispatch, logistics, operations coordination, production planning, or related experience

Excellent organizational and time-management skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment

Strong customer service and communication skills with a professional phone presence

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Excel

Experience working with scheduling software, databases, or electronic record systems preferred

Strong attention to detail and data-entry accuracy

High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Must successfully pass a background screening

Preferred Qualifications

Healthcare scheduling experience

Home health, hospice, medical office, or healthcare operations experience

Experience managing high-volume scheduling and staffing coordination
