Job Summary
The Tooling Turbine Optimization Director I manages and directs the entire fleet of global tools for heavy duty turbine maintenance projects, inlcluding developing, adapting, and executing global strategy, fulfillment prioritization decisions, global inventory, P&E investment and blueprint, tool location, tool innovation and operational metrics. Partners with the FieldCore Region GM’s, Value Stream leadership, Tooling Region Directors and support functions to drive execution excellence in tooling to meet and exceed operational targets.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop regional strategic vision for fulfillment of global turbine tooling demand
- Executes in-depth analysis of future tooling needs, including out year forecasting and growth scenario planning, to maximize tooling asset usage and minimize P&E spend
- Collaborate with region Tooling Directors and region Tooling Center teams to drive demand management and fulfillment excellence
- Make prioritization decisions for escalations across regions to effectively meet outage tooling needs
- Collaborate with Global Supply Chain Director to optimize the location of global tooling assets based on future forecasts, minimizing shipment out of regions and P&E spend, driving tool relocation as necessary
- Collaborate with Global Logistics to minimize transportation costs
- Assist and support region tooling operations in addressing emergent and changing tooling needs
- Review global demands and mitigate risks; drive ETM rigor and accountability in demand management
- Support the business S&OP process and rhythms
- Support P&E budgeting for global turbine tooling
- Work closely with Value Stream/Live Outage leadership to deploy Live Outage/Lean Tooling globally, productivity and overall Continuous Improvement initiatives
- Achieve critical tooling KPI objectives including financial targets, tool utilization, tool liquidation, P&E, tool loss, forecasting, EHS, quality and external metrics such as tool recovery and on time demand
- Influences Global Tooling organization to drive change across respective tooling service line
- Some travel required
- May be assigned other duties to help proactively drive our FieldCore vision and align with our organization’s core values.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or quivalent in related field
- 11+ years progressive experience and demonstrated success/knowledge
- 6+ years managing and/or developing multi-discipline teams, preferably with international reach across multiple service types
- 5+ years of specialized/industry experience
- English proficiency required
Desired Characteristics
- Master’s degree preferred
- Deep domain expertise / highly advanced knowledge in respective service line (gas plant, steam plant, renewables, aeroderivative engines, oil & gas) including the product, maintenance and tooling.
- Ability to independently develop and execute functional strategies to solve complex operational situations
- Effectively interfaces with executive leadership / GMs
- Highly effective in a matrix environment; influence and motivate globally dispersed and diverse teams to realize strategic visions
- Strong change management, oral and written communication skills
- 10 - 15 years of leadership level experience in a global/complex environment
Compensation and Benefits: The annual salary range for this position is $113,500 to $181,500. This is an exempt from overtime position. FieldCore benefits include insurance (medical, dental, vision, disability, and life), retirement savings, health and Wellness reimbursement, and a bonus or incentive program. Eligibility for FieldCore benefits is determined under the terms of the applicable benefits plan.
