POSITION SUMMARY: The Associate Director, Corporate Partnerships is responsible for developing, managing, and growing a portfolio of corporate partners in support of The ALS Association's mission to make ALS livable for everyone, everywhere, until we can cure it. This role balances new business development with strategic stewardship of existing partners, driving revenue growth through sponsorships, cause-marketing campaigns, employee engagement programs, philanthropic investments, and other partnership opportunities.
Reporting to the Senior Director of Corporate Partnerships, the Associate Director will cultivate meaningful relationships with corporate leaders and key stakeholders, ensuring strong retention, revenue growth, and long-term engagement with The ALS Association.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and grow a portfolio of 125 – 150 corporate partners and prospects through all stages of the relationship lifecycle, including identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, renewal, and expansion.
- Develop and execute strategies to secure new corporate partnerships while increasing revenue and engagement from existing partners through sponsorships, cause marketing, employee engagement, volunteerism, and philanthropic giving opportunities.
- Create customized proposals, presentations, sponsorship packages, and partnership agreements that align corporate objectives with The ALS Association's mission and strategic priorities, in the $25,000 to $250,000 range.
- Meet or exceed annual revenue goals by building a strong prospect pipeline, closing new partnerships, retaining existing support, and identifying opportunities for increased investment.
- Serve as the primary relationship manager for assigned corporate partners, ensuring exceptional stewardship, timely recognition, fulfillment of partnership benefits, and clear communication of mission impact.
- Collaborate with Development, Marketing & Communications, Events, Mission, Advocacy, and field staff to create and execute partnership activations, sponsorship opportunities, and engagement strategies.
- Leverage volunteer leaders, board members, and executive leadership to cultivate, solicit, and steward key corporate relationships.
- Represent The ALS Association at meetings, conferences, networking events, and community engagements to increase visibility and identify partnership opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records, revenue forecasts, and partnership activity within Salesforce and provide regular reports on portfolio performance and pipeline progress.
- Support organizational events, fundraising initiatives, and other strategic projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 4 years of experience in corporate fundraising, corporate partnerships, sponsorship sales, business development, account management, or a related field.
- Demonstrated success securing and growing corporate partnerships with measurable revenue outcomes.
- Experience managing a portfolio of corporate donors, sponsors, or business relationships.
- Strong communication, presentation, proposal-writing, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency with Salesforce or comparable CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to travel up to 20%.

Preferred
- Experience in nonprofit fundraising, healthcare, or mission-driven organizations.
- Knowledge of corporate philanthropy, employee engagement, corporate social responsibility (CSR), and cause marketing.
- Experience securing five- and six-figure corporate partnerships.

PAY TRANSPARENCY: The ALS Association’s pay range for this position is $77,250 - $87,550 annually.
The ALS Association has compensation ranges for various work locations throughout the United States, allowing us to compensate employees competitively and consistently in diverse geographic markets. The above-listed listed range shows prospective compensation for this role; the appropriate range will be established by what is eventually determined to be the candidate's primary work location. Various factors, including the complexity and significance of the role, job duties/requirements, relevant experience and abilities, and primary work location, determine individual compensation. Compensation ranges are evaluated and typically adjusted on a regular basis. Offers are made within the compensation range that is in effect at the time of the job offer.
The Association may, at its discretion, offer merit-based increases tied to individual performance. The benefits listed may differ depending on employment status with the Association.
