We are seeking an experienced and qualified Supervising Pharmacist to join our team. As a Supervising Pharmacist, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our pharmacy, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, and leading a team of pharmacists and support staff.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage the pharmacy team, including pharmacists and support staff
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and professional standards
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve patient care and pharmacy operations
- Provide guidance and support to pharmacists and support staff on clinical and technical matters
- Review and approve prescriptions, and provide clinical advice to patients and healthcare professionals
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering and stock control
- Develop and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals and other stakeholders
Requirements
- 3 years of experience as a registered pharmacist in Ireland
- Current registration with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI)
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of pharmacy regulations and laws
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a supervisory or management role in a pharmacy setting
- Familiarity with pharmacy management software and systems
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of current pharmaceutical developments
