Pool Attendent

Position Summary

The Pool Attendant is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming pool area while providing exceptional guest service. This position assists guests with pool amenities, monitors poolside activities, and ensures all pool facilities are properly maintained and stocked to enhance the overall guest experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Greet guests and provide friendly, professional customer service.
• Monitor the pool area to ensure guest safety and compliance with pool rules and hotel policies.
• Set up, arrange, and maintain pool furniture, umbrellas, towels, and recreational equipment.
• Distribute and collect towels and ensure adequate inventory is available throughout the day.
• Keep the pool deck, seating areas, and surrounding facilities clean and organized.
• Conduct routine inspections of the pool area and report maintenance or safety concerns to management.
• Restock supplies and amenities as needed.
• Assist guests with questions regarding pool operations, hotel amenities, and recreational activities.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and concerns.
• Support special events and activities held in the pool area.
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation standards established by the hotel and local regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous hospitality, recreation, or customer service experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain certification.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move pool furniture, towels, and supplies up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat and sunlight.
• Ability to bend, stoop, and perform general cleaning tasks.
