INFORMATION ASSURANCE (IA) ENGINEER

Must have the ability to assess IA Controls and assist in the development of IA specifications; participate in the design, development of software and hardware systems and subsystems; assist in C&A documentation and Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) products.

Ability to serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for all system security engineering matters and provide technical security consultation, guidance in the design, development, and deployment of secure systems infrastructure. The IA engineer will also be responsible for understanding functional system requirements and deriving security controls to provide technical implementation solutions to various engineering teams in order to comply with federal system requirements; identify system design and operational vulnerabilities, and make recommendations to address deficient areas; work with system administrators to securely configure systems per customer security standards, community best practices and benchmarks. Assist the program to certification of the system utilizing and adhering to ICD503 standards. The candidate will be responsible for drafting and updating security artifacts. Candidate must have demonstrated leadership and project execution skills with ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines; excellent written and oral communication skills. The position will work mainly in the factory while supporting deployments as required. Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and independently; Technical presentation skills; Demonstrated ability to complete tasks with minimal direction and oversight. 

BS degree with a minimum of 2 years' experience. Candidate must have deriving security requirements to a specification level based upon governing IA requirements documents. Current TS/SSBI Clearance is required .  Placement, salary and grade classification are dependent on education skills and experience.
