Job description

Founded in 2015 in London, FLOWERBX is a luxury floral design house with studios across New York, Los Angeles, and Dubai. With clients including Gucci, Chanel, and Tiffany & Co., we're known for setting the standard in fashion-led floral design.

Reporting to the Head of North America, this role sits at the intersection of floral design, client relationships, and day-to-day operations across FLOWERBX hospitality contracts, one-off events, and activations in the Los Angeles market. We’re looking for someone who brings both creative skill and operational adaptability, and who is comfortable moving between hands-on design work, client liaison, and the logistics of running a growing market. This is an exciting opportunity to grow with that market and, for the right person, to take on increasing responsibility over time.

Main Responsibilities

  • Support the planning and execution of floral installations for weekly hotel contracts and one-off activations, ensuring every detail is delivered to the highest standard.
  • Work across a range of styles and scales, from single-stem vase designs to large-scale floral installations whilst adapting to the needs of each client and occasion.
  • Liaise directly with clients on-site, representing FLOWERBX professionally and building positive relationships that reflect the brand’s values.
  • Assist with design and preparation for proposals, including flower and vase sourcing.
  • Maintain adherence to budgetary constraints related to stem count and profit margins to deliver work to the highest level of efficiency.
  • Drive delivery van for deliveries and installations across the LA area, including loading and unloading of materials (heavy lifting required).
  • Adhere to specific on-site policies and procedures at all times, including dress code and any client requirements.
  • Oversee the inventory and selection of flowers and materials, ensuring quality and sustainability standards are upheld.
  • Perform risk assessments to guarantee compliance with health and safety regulations and address any concerns with management as necessary.
  • Assist with other florist requests and duties, as required.
  • Solid experience in floristry or floral design, with a portfolio showcasing their work across different styles and settings.
  • Ability to work across a variety of floral styles and aesthetics, from classic and editorial to contemporary and large-scale.
  • Strong client-facing skills, with the confidence to liaise professionally with clients on-site.
  • Exceptional creativity and a keen eye for detail, with the ability to conceptualize and execute beautiful designs.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of flower varieties, seasonality, and supplier networks.
  • Valid driver’s license and comfortable driving a large van.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including regular heavy lifting and manual handling.
  • A positive attitude and a passion for sustainability and floral artistry.
  • Ambition to grow within the role and the LA market as the business develops.

This is a full-time, in-person position based in Los Angeles, five days per week, including some weekends and occasional overnight requirements.

  • Private health and dental care
  • 25 days’ PTO
  • Enhanced parental leave
  • 401k contribution
  • A monthly flower subscription and discounted products
  • Day off for your birthday
  • Time off to support your favorite charity
