DevOps & Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our Engineering team in Athens and help us evolve, scale and secure the infrastructure behind our products.

As a DevOps Engineer at Novoville, you will be responsible for maintaining, improving and automating the cloud infrastructure, deployment pipelines and operational tooling that support our core products.

Our products run on AWS-based cloud infrastructure supported by modern CI/CD, observability and automation practices. You will work closely with engineering teams to ensure our platforms are reliable, secure, scalable and operationally efficient.

This role is ideal for an experienced DevOps Engineer who enjoys building and maintaining cloud infrastructure, deployment automation, monitoring systems and operational excellence practices.

What you will do

You will

• Manage, maintain and improve our AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Design, improve and support CI/CD pipelines for application deployment.
• Work with containerised environments using Docker.
• Help automate infrastructure, deployments and operational workflows.
• Monitor system health, performance, availability and security implementing monitoring, logging, tracing and alerting solutions.
• Support engineering teams in deploying and operating production workloads across development, staging and production environments.
• Improve reliability, scalability, backup, recovery and incident-response processes, driving disaster recovery, backup and business continuity strategies.
• Collaborate with engineers to improve development, staging and production environments.
• Maintain and improve DevOps documentation, tooling and best practices.
• Contribute to technical decisions around infrastructure, automation and deployment strategy.

We would like to meet candidates with

• Solid professional experience in a DevOps, Platform, Infrastructure or Site Reliability Engineering role.
• Strong experience with AWS infrastructure and services.
• Good knowledge of Linux-based environments.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and containerised application workflows.
• Experience with Bitbucket Pipelines or similar tools (e.g. GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins etc.).
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong working knowledge of Git.
• Familiarity with Jira
• Experience supporting web applications in production.
• Understanding of networking, security, monitoring, logging and backup practices.
• Familiarity with relational databases, ideally PostgreSQL.
• Good scripting or automation skills.
• A practical, structured and ownership-driven engineering mindset.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting PHP (especially Laravel) applications in cloud environments.
• Experience deploying & monitoring Python FastAPI services in production environments.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform preferred).
• Experience with queue workers, scheduled jobs, caching, object storage and background processing.
• Familiarity with application observability tools, metrics, alerts and log aggregation.
• Experience with security hardening, IAM, secrets management and cloud-cost optimisation.
• Open-source contributions or a public Git profile.
