Our team is continuing to expand, and as we grow, we’re looking for a Licensing Specialist to join us in Melbourne, Sydney, or Canberra in a hybrid capacity.
The Licensing Specialist is responsible for driving software licensing expertise across the sales function and supporting the preparation of accurate, competitive, and value-led licensing proposals, with a particular focus on Microsoft 365 and Adobe. The role acts as the central point of subject matter expertise on licensing, upskilling Sales Representatives and Inside Sales support teams so they can more effectively position and sell licensing features and value. Working closely with vendors, distributors, and suppliers, the Licensing Specialist strengthens partnerships and takes ownership for understanding and driving the value of incentive and benefit programs available to the business.
What you'll do
- Provide pre-sales licensing expertise across Microsoft 365, Adobe and adjacent vendors (e.g. AvePoint, CoreView), supporting proposals, quotes and solution design.
- Partner with Sales to scope, validate and present licensing solutions aligned to customer requirements and commercial outcomes.
- Ensure licensing recommendations align to appropriate agreements, programs and pricing models for each customer.
- Act as the subject matter expert for software licensing, providing strategic guidance and keeping the business informed of vendor and program changes.
- Upskill Sales and Inside Sales teams through training, enablement materials and ongoing licensing support.
- Build strong vendor, distributor and supplier relationships while managing incentives, rebates and commercial value opportunities.
- Stay current with vendor licensing changes, roadmaps, and program updates, and communicate relevant impacts to the business.
What you'll bring
- Strong understanding of IT products and vendors, especially SaaS Licensing.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 Licensing, including Enterprise Agreement and CSP programs, licensing features, and contractual and commercial constructs of Microsoft NCE.
- Exposure to Microsoft-adjacent vendors and solutions (e.g. AvePoint, CoreView) with the ability to confidently discuss their value and positioning.
- Commercial acumen and understanding of basic accounting principles.
- A positive attitude and can-do mindset, fostering a one-team-one-dream mindset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, allowing you to effectively communicate with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Professional presentation skills, allowing you to position solutions and outcomes to customers and your colleagues.
