Product Manager
Experience Required: 3 to 7 years Company: Virallens
Company Overview
As Virallens, we build software products, digital platforms, automation systems, AI-enabled workflows, internal tools, and scalable web and mobile experiences that help businesses operate, grow, and move faster.
Our mandate is to turn complex business and user problems into reliable, usable, and scalable technology products. Virallens already operates in a high-velocity environment where products and services are built, tested, and scaled quickly.
Role Overview
We are seeking a Product Manager to own product outcomes across web, mobile, AI, and platform initiatives.
You will partner closely with engineering, design, and business stakeholders to identify problems, define product strategy, prioritize roadmaps, and deliver high-impact products. The ideal candidate combines strong product judgment, technical fluency, and a bias for execution.
We value high ownership and outcome-oriented thinking. You won't just manage requirements, you'll define what matters, make informed trade-offs, and help teams build products that create measurable value.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy and Roadmap Ownership
● Define product vision, goals, success metrics, and roadmap priorities for assigned products and initiatives. ● Translate business needs, user problems, technical opportunities, and stakeholder inputs into clear product direction. ● Prioritize features, improvements, and experiments based on user value, business impact, technical feasibility, effort, urgency, and strategic importance. ● Define MVPs that deliver meaningful value quickly while allowing room for iteration and scale. ● Maintain product roadmaps, opportunity backlogs, product briefs, decision logs, and product documentation. ● Connect product priorities to measurable outcomes such as adoption, engagement, retention, revenue impact, operational efficiency, user satisfaction, and platform scalability.
Product Discovery and Problem Definition
● Conduct user, stakeholder, workflow, and product research to identify problems worth solving. ● Gather and synthesize insights from users, internal teams, analytics, support conversations, operations, and technical stakeholders. ● Convert ambiguous ideas into clear problem statements, hypotheses, requirements, and execution-ready product plans. ● Validate assumptions through prototypes, user interviews, usability testing, data analysis, experiments, or lightweight MVPs. ● Identify friction points, workflow inefficiencies, product gaps, technical constraints, and opportunities for automation or platform improvement. ● Ensure product decisions are based on evidence, user understanding, and business impact rather than isolated feature requests.
Requirements, User Stories, and Backlog Management
● Write clear PRDs, product briefs, user stories, acceptance criteria, workflows, release notes, and launch documentation. ● Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring priorities are current, well-defined, and aligned with product and business goals. ● Partner with designers to define user journeys, wireframes, prototypes, UX flows, and intuitive product experiences. ● Partner with engineers to understand technical constraints, architecture considerations, API dependencies, data flows, implementation trade-offs, and release risks. ● Review product builds, provide timely feedback, support QA/UAT, and ensure shipped work meets acceptance criteria. ● Make practical scope decisions to protect speed, quality, user value, and engineering focus.
Technical Partnership and Product Execution
● Work closely with engineering teams across web, mobile, APIs, integrations, cloud platforms, analytics, automation, and AI-enabled systems. ● Collaborate on API contracts, data models, system workflows, integration requirements, tracking plans, release strategies, and technical trade-offs. ● Understand and communicate technical dependencies, blockers, risks, and sequencing decisions clearly. ● Support engineering teams with well-structured requirements that reduce ambiguity and unnecessary rework. ● Help improve product delivery through better documentation, clearer acceptance criteria, reusable product patterns, and lightweight execution processes. ● Ensure product and technical decisions support reliability, scalability, usability, security, maintainability, and business growth.
Cross-Functional Alignment and Communication
● Align engineering, design, data, operations, leadership, and business stakeholders around product goals, roadmap priorities, and expected outcomes. ● Communicate product decisions, trade-offs, risks, dependencies, timelines, and progress clearly and proactively. ● Run effective product rituals such as discovery workshops, roadmap reviews, backlog refinement, sprint planning inputs, demos, launch reviews, and retrospectives. ● Use concise asynchronous communication and high-quality documentation to reduce unnecessary meetings and improve execution speed. ● Manage competing stakeholder requests with confidence, clarity, and product judgment. ● Protect team focus by saying no or not yet when requests do not align with user value, product strategy, technical feasibility, or business priorities.
Launch, Measurement, and Continuous Improvement
● Define launch goals, success metrics, release requirements, tracking needs, and post-launch review plans. ● Coordinate with engineering, design, operations, support, and relevant business teams to ensure smooth product launches. ● Track product performance across adoption, engagement, retention, conversion, reliability, user satisfaction, revenue impact, and operational efficiency. ● Use product analytics, user feedback, support insights, and stakeholder input to identify improvement opportunities. ● Drive continuous product iteration based on data, customer needs, technical learnings, and business priorities. ● Conduct post-launch reviews and convert learnings into roadmap improvements, process enhancements, and better product decisions.
Required Qualifications
● 3 to 7 years of experience in product management, product ownership, technical product management, platform product management, or a closely related role. ● Demonstrated ability to manage product initiatives from discovery and planning through build, launch, measurement, and iteration. ● Strong understanding of product discovery, roadmap planning, MVP definition, prioritization, user stories, acceptance criteria, and product lifecycle management. ● Ability to create clarity from ambiguity and turn high-level ideas into structured, execution-ready product requirements. ● Strong product judgment with the ability to balance user needs, business goals, technical feasibility, delivery constraints, and stakeholder priorities. ● Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write clear documentation, product briefs, requirements, decision notes, and stakeholder updates. ● Strong cross-functional collaboration skills across engineering, design, data, operations, leadership, and business teams. ● Solid understanding of Agile product development, Scrum or Kanban workflows, backlog refinement, sprint planning, demos, retrospectives, and release planning. ● Hands-on experience with product and delivery tools such as Jira or Linear, Notion or Confluence, Slack, Google Workspace, Figma, and analytics platforms. ● Analytical mindset with experience using user feedback, product metrics, funnel data, workflow data, and business indicators to guide decisions. ● Technical literacy across web and mobile fundamentals, APIs, databases, Git/GitHub workflows, CI/CD concepts, cloud platforms, integrations, analytics, and automation.
Preferred Qualifications
● Experience managing SaaS, B2B platforms, AI products, automation tools, internal platforms, web applications, mobile applications, or developer-facing products. ● Prior experience in a startup, high-growth technology team, product-led company, or engineering-driven environment. ● Former software development, technical product ownership, technical project management, or computer science background. ● Strong systems thinking with the ability to identify product, technical, operational, or architectural risks early. ● Familiarity with cloud platforms, API integrations, event tracking, data pipelines, AI workflows, LLM-based products, vector databases, automation tools, and analytics systems. ● Experience with product analytics tools such as PostHog, Mixpanel, Amplitude, Metabase, Looker, or similar platforms. ● Experience with experimentation, usability testing, analytics instrumentation, customer interviews, rapid MVP validation, and workflow optimization. ● Ability to design lightweight product processes that improve clarity, decision-making, execution speed, and product quality without adding unnecessary overhead. ● Relevant training or certifications in product management, Agile, Scrum, analytics, UX, AI product management, or technical product management.
