Job Purpose
A Derivatives Specialist within ICE Fixed Income & Data Services provides professional, detailed, customer-focused support to position ICE in providing pricing and analytics derivatives offerings to the buy side, sell side and other financial institutions within APAC. It encompasses a variety of business development activities aimed at increasing the breadth of clientele in this business area.
The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit, be determined and persistent in their approach and have the capacity to thrive as a role-player in a dynamic, team environment.
The primary function is specialization of ICE’s derivative product suite within ICE Fixed Income & Data Services. In aid of this, specialists actively engage with clients to understand their requirements and challenges, articulate how ICE Data Derivatives’ solutions serve client needs, and work hand in hand with relevant internal teams to advance all aspects of the sales cycle, from prospecting to contract.
Responsibilities
•
Acquire deep product knowledge and understanding of ICE Data Derivatives product suite to become a technical expert and consultant to the sales organisation
•
Position and demonstrate ICE products and services with the overall objective to grow revenue and ensure ICE maintains a dominant position in their respective markets
•
Garner a deep understanding of organisational groups and business priorities of key clients in the region
•
Collaborate with sales and relationship management to identify opportunities and deliver value-added solutions to enhance our clients’ business
•
Protect existing revenue by actively engaging with existing clients, which includes on-site visits, training, and feeding through feedback to support and product management
•
Respond to technical client queries in a prompt and comprehensive manner
•
Support sales outreach, both remote and on-site, to promote the value proposition of ICE products and services
•
Travel within the region may be required occasionally
Knowledge and Experience
•
5+ years of relevant experience
•
Experience either working at, or facing off with, tier-1 financial institutions
•
Strong market knowledge in at least one of the following asset classes, with solid familiarity in others: Commodities, Equities, Fixed Income & Interest Rates, Foreign Exchange or Credit Derivatives
•
A solid understanding of what departments, desks, and individual roles exist within banks and funds
•
Outstanding listening, verbal and written communication skills
•
Strong presentation and analytical skills
•
The ability to work both collaboratively within a team environment, and independently where required
•
A self-motivated, patient problem solver with a strong willingness to learn
- Fluent in English and Mandarin (spoken and written)
