What the day will look like
The Technology Leader plays a key role in evolving and strengthening the application ecosystem, leading teams with varied strengths, delivering measurable business value through technology.
Acting as a critical link between regional IT strategy and local execution, the role drives operational excellence, effective risk management, and continuous transformation aligned with Aon’s global priorities.
- Define and implement the Brasil technology roadmap in alignment with regional and global strategies while addressing local market needs.
- Lead and develop distributed technology teams, promoting a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Be a driver of AI adoption by leading through example and demonstrating strong influencing capabilities.
- Serve as a strategic partner to the country manager and functional leaders by translating business needs into effective technology solutions.
- Proactively gives innovative ideas while ensuring alignment with regional guidelines and organizational priorities.
- Design and lead a demand prioritization model incorporating financial, capacity, and risk factors.
- Ensure compliance with local data protection, cybersecurity, and regulatory standards.
- Lead all aspects of technology performance indicators (critical metrics) to identify efficiencies and drive ongoing improvements.
- Handle comprehensive technology audits.
- Strengthening governance, risk, and control frameworks, including vulnerability management and adherence to corporate cybersecurity policies.
- Maintain relationships with technology vendors and strategic partners to ensure service quality and value delivery.
- Framing the role responsibilities under the banner of ‘What the day will look like”’ helps make the ad more engaging and tangible.
How this opportunity is different
The role requires close collaboration with key internal stakeholders, including the Executive Committee, business and functional leaders, and regional and global teams across Technology, Cybersecurity, Audit, Finance, Legal, and Operations.
It also involves handling external relationships with technology vendors, service providers, and strategic partners as appropriate.
Skills and experience that will lead to success
- Solid experience in IT and technology functions.
- Strong expertise in application architecture, systems integration, application lifecycle management, and IT service management frameworks (ITIL).
- Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies, with a proven understanding of AI integration across the software development lifecycle.
- Ability to lead financial metrics, track performance, and drive data-informed decision-making
- In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and audit management practices.
- Experience with large operations.
- Experience handling senior stakeholders in complex, multi-country environments.
- Demonstrated empathetic and transformational leadership, with a strong focus on team development and organizational maturity.
- High resilience, cultural adaptability, and a strong customer-centric mentality.
- Proficient English , enabling effective collaboration in global environments
- Bachelor's degree.
- Knowledge of Spanish will be considered an asset.
