Indexing Operations Specialist

Overview

Join our team as an Indexing Operations Specialist and support the Air Force Criminal Justice Information Center (AFCJIC) by performing real-time data entry, evaluation, and correction of DAF indexing records in FBI CJIS systems. You will serve as the focal point for assigned MAJCOMs on Disposition of Firearms checks, engage base-level Indexing Compliance Managers and Judge Advocate offices, monitor unit compliance for federal database entries, and provide subject matter expertise in response to Requests for Information, ensuring timely, accurate criminal history records that support public safety.

Work Schedule and Location

On-Site: This full-time on-site position will work Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm in Quantico, VA.

Responsibilities

• Conduct data entry of DAF records into FBI CJIS systems.
• Serve as the focal point for assigned MAJCOMs regarding Disposition of Firearms (DOF) checks.
• Engage with base-level Indexing Compliance Managers and Judge Advocate offices to support indexing matters.
• Conduct real-time evaluation, creation, and correction of DAF indexing records.
• Monitor MAJCOM unit compliance for entries into federal databases.
• Report compliance issues to the AFCJIC CHRI Data Manager and Audit lead.
• Provide subject matter expertise and record corrections in response to Requests for Information (RFI).

Qualifications

Required

• Minimum 5 years' experience with criminal justice records.
• Minimum 3 years' sworn law enforcement or similar experience.
• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
