Overview

The Landscape Regional Sales Manager Leads commercial growth across the assigned region by setting strategy for specification development, channel structure, and market execution, while managing the team responsible for implementation. The Regional Sales Manager is accountable for evaluating, selecting, rationalizing, and developing distributors; strengthening relationships with Design Institutes and other key market influencers; and aligning regional resources to the highest-value growth opportunities. This role build a high-performing team through strong people management, coaching, talent development.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver strong sales performance across products and services while improving market share, profitability and overall commercial execution.
  • Lead the regional sales team in executing market strategy across municipal, commercial, sports, residential, and other priority segments.
  • Define and direct specification strategy by building and strengthening relationships with Design Institutes, consultants, and other design influencers that shape project outcomes.
  • Ensure the team effectively converts specifications and project opportunities into profitable sales through disciplined pipeline and opportunity management.
  • Evaluate the distributor network on strategic fit, capability, performance, market coverage, and value contribution.
  • Propose distributor selection and channel design decisions to ensure the right partners are in place to support long-term regional growth.
  • Drive distributor development by establishing clear expectations, performance metrics, and improvement plans that strengthen capability, accountability, and execution.
  • Provide structured market intelligence on competitive activity, channel effectiveness, and growth opportunities to support regional decision-making.
  • Drive end-user awareness of Rain Bird irrigation solutions and brand by engaging key segments, government associations, and stakeholders, while developing strategic accounts and new channel partners.
  • Strengthen regional sales team effectiveness through strong day-to-day people management, performance reviews, continuous coaching and development, and initiatives that improve employee engagement, capability, and retention.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA degree
  • Proven success leading sales teams in assigned region.
  • 10+ years in technical sales leadership, distribution, and large project sales.
  • Aptitude for quantitative analysis, strategic and tactical thinking, and detailed planning
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both verbal and written form
  • Fluency in English

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MBA degree or equivalent business experience.
  • Knowledge of the landscape industry a plus
