As a Armed Security Officer Access Control in Denver, CO , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a critical utilities location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access activity with professionalism and care. What You'll Do
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a utility location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating relevant details to site contacts and/or local responders when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, operational areas, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorizations, and report access control concerns or policy violations according to site-specific protocols.
- Support incident reporting and daily operations by maintaining accurate logs, noting maintenance or hazard-related concerns, and communicating security-related updates to supervisors and/or client representatives.
Minimum Requirements
- Possess 1+ years of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
