Part time: Sunday 2200-0600 Full time Monday-Wednesday 1400-2200 Main hospital, Saturday-Sunday 1400-2200 at FSED
How This Role Works
- Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
- Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.
This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and reporting details to site leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including hallways, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas, noting unusual activity and/or conditions that may require attention.
- Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry, loitering, and/or disruptive behavior while maintaining a professional presence in a healthcare setting.
- Document observations, incidents, and/or policy-related concerns, and communicate with supervisors, staff, and first responders when needed.
Minimum Requirements
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Hospital vaccination requirements must be met.
- Must be willing to work in a hospital environment that may include the morgue.
- Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Must be willing and able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment.
- Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare/medical-related field.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
