Job Description
As a Security Officer Patrol Driver Mall Center in Newport Beach, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Allied Universal officer at a premier retail location, you will monitor and patrol on foot and/or by vehicle, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. This driving post offers the chance to support shoppers, tenants, and staff through strong communication, teamwork, and integrity while contributing to a caring, reliable, and innovative culture.

What You'll Do
- Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a retail location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner while documenting relevant details and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout common areas, storefront corridors, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and/or security-related issues.
- Monitor activity across the property and help to deter unauthorized access, disruptive behavior, and/or policy violations through visible presence and routine observation.
- Support day-to-day operations by communicating with management, assisting with customer inquiries, and completing required reports related to incidents, patrol activity, and/or security-related observations.
Minimum Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- The ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- Pepper spray certification is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
